I went for a regular check up today and mentioned that I've had reduced contact lens tolerance and some blurred vision recently so I just thought my prescription needed changing. After putting dye in my eyes the optician said I had severe dry patches (like a pitted surface) on the centre of my corneas and that I should not wear contacts for three months.My eyes have been uncomfortable but I did not expect to have to stop wearing contacts. I've not heard of anyone being told this before so is it unusual?
