Suppose the lens system (cornea-lens) in the particular eye has an effective focal length that can vary between 1.77cm and 1.65cm, but the effective distance from the lens system to the retina (image distance) is only 1.72cm.Is this eye near sighted or far sighted?
I know the answer is far sighted but can someone please explain why? Thanks!
