I'm curious as to how things like lactation warm bloodedness and giving birth to live young came about. I'm not very schooled in evolutionary biology so I'm a little ignorant of how any major change like that comes about. I've heard explanations for things like eyes like where they started as dark spots and then a lens came and stuff but how would a reptile just start lactating or become warm blooded?
