Prescription glasses?

Hi, so every time I go to the eye doctor, they force me to choose their glasses but I never like any of the styles there.It's been a year since I got the pair I have now, which I don't like btw, and I'm apparently in need of another checkup.
So my questions are, can I bring in my glasses/sunglasses --it look similar to this -- and they replace the lens? Should I just ask my eye doctor for the prescription to order it online? and If I should order them online, do you know any online stores that sell good quality prescription glasses?
I saw a commercial on YouTube about Coastal.com, but I don't really know anything about them.
