I've never worn glasses/contact lenses before in my life. I had a free eye test today but the salesperson didn't explain my results and was intent on selling me glasses.So my question is, do you have a number which indicates the strength you'll need in your glasses? Or do you have to get prescription ones from your optometrist? If I wanted to buy glasses from an independent retailer, how do I know they are the right strength for my eyes? And what about contact lenses too?
