What can I expect soon after cataract surgery in my right eye?

I am very myopic in both eyes (-5 diopters in left eye and -9.25 diopters in right eye). I also have a cataract in my right eye that is making it worse. I will soon have cataract surger in my right eye and plan to have left eye done too soon after. What can I expect, regarding my ability to see, after the 1st eye is done given the difference between my eyes and how should I deal with it? How will it be during the time one eye is corrected and the other is still very myopic? Note. I do not want to wear contact lenses. I tried them and they are not for me.
