What should I do if I suspect of having corneal neovascularization?
I am 25 yrs old, and have made the mistake of extending the usage of my contact lenses. I have noticed red veins around my iris. I have brown eyes, so maybe even into the iris and I wouldn't see it … After a quick search I suspect I may have corneal neovascularizaion.
I don't have any pain or discomfort, but I have suspended contact lens wear for a week now, and there is not change. Is there anything I can do to help this? Based on what I have read online, the damage is done, and can not be reversed. Is this really true? Or should I head over to the ophthalmologist and maybe a prescription would help? Has anybody had experience with this type of problem?
Thanks!
