Jane is very stylish, and sometimes wears colored contact lenses to enhance her appearance. Besides her transparent (uncolored) lenses, she has a pair of pink lenses and a pair of green ones. Every day, Jane does something different with her contacts (she never wears the same pair twice in a row). After the transparent lenses, she is three times more likely to wear the green lenses than the pink lenses. Also, after a day of colored lenses, she is twice as likely to go back to transparent lenses than to switch to the other color.
Suppose that on Monday Jane wore transparent lenses.
a. After 4 more days, on Friday, what is the probability Jane will wear green lenses?
b. What is the probability Jane will wear transparent lenses on that Friday?
c. On Monday 3 weeks (21 days) after the first Monday, what is the probability Jane will wear green lenses?
d. On that Monday 3 weeks later, what is the probability Jane wears transparent lenses?
Thank you to anyone who can help me out! :)
