I wear monthly lenses, and have been for about a year now. I wash them and clean them properly, although sometimes I do wear them for more than a month. Occasionally they get small nicks or tears on the edge. Normally, I don't notice. However, with my latest pair which I started using a week ago, the edge of the contact lens has ripped significantly, so that it is no longer rounded and has a flat edge. This has been causing some mild discomfort. I don't want to have to throw the lenses away so soon, but I am worried that my eyes might become damaged.
