Do i go need an eye exam if i had one recently?

Ok so im going on thursday because my glasses kinda suck. I can actually see better when I "tilt" the glasses upwards.Do i need to go through the whole checkup or will they just fix my lenses? Thanks

PS: Im afraid of the glaucoma test D:

How long do Sofmed 55 Contact Lenses Last?

I stopped wearing contact lenses back in 2010. I still have some contacts that I bought in bulk and i was wondering if i could still use them.My prescription hasn't changed since i bought them back in 2010 (i currently were glasses). The expiration date on them is 2016/12. I was also wondering how long I should use a certain lens. I'm not sure, but i think the doctor told me 15 days per lens. The name of the contact lenses are Sofmed 55 (they come in a blue and white box). Any answer is appreciated.

Getting contact lenses? - 1

Im soon getting eye vision contact lenses I have poor vision. Its really blurry without those.So im wondering if I could get eye contact lenses that are the best like 20/10 I thinl that's the best vision ever?
Could I damage my eye with the contact lenses for having my eye vision too sharpened with it? Or would I be fine?

What happens if I ingest Lens Cleaner?

I sprayed my glasses and some of the cleaner went into my mouth, I read the back and it said

Caution:
Do not ingest, Avoid contact with eyes. Not for contact lenses, Keep out of reach of children.

Why is there not more selection for BC of Acuvue 2 Colours?

I would like to use Acuvue 2 Colours for special occasions but they only offer a BC of 8.3 and 8.7. For everyday use, I use Acuvue moist lenses with a BC of 8.5. Does this mean I will not be able to use the colors? Or would I be likely to fit one of the other sizes? I just don't want to bother going to the doctor for a fitting and prescription appointment if they are likely to just tell me no.

Enlisting with keratoconus?

So after I graduated I tried enlisting in the military but got dq'd because I found out I had keratoconus. They didn't pdq me, they just said a waider wasn't reccomended but at the the moment I dint know what keratoconus was and my recruiters didn't either so we put one anyways. And when we got it back it just said denied because of keratoconus. I also think I remember reading that I was temporarily dq'd. Well my recruiter told me we're not gonna get very far unless I do something about it so I started doing my research on it, found out what it was and solved it by getting the cross-linking done on both eyes and I'm getting rigid lenses which I read was highly used in the military.So I think I'm ready to try again Iand I been keeping in touch with a recruiter but while I was correcting my problem I've been reading that a lot of people have been getting pd'qd for it but I also read that there might be changes done by the military to fix that part of enlistment.My questions are: why wasnt I pd'qd like them, are they gonna make changes anytime soon, and if not then what are my chances of getting in the military now that fixed my problem with keratoconus?
P.s. I say fixed because although I didnt get rid of it I completely I completely stopped on its trackes at an early stage.My vision without correction is 20/40 on 1 eye and 20/60 the worse on the other eye.

Circle contact lenses.floppy?

I bought new circle lenses, I've had a pervious pair and experienced no problems at all… Only getting them in my eye.So I bought two new pairs from the same shop and soaked them in the same solution as the first for around 4 hours and I went to try them on and they are really floppy and just fold and turn inside out, pretty much taking the shape of my finger? This never happened with the first pair which only soaked max 3 hours as the girl said an hour will do, why are the new ones like this? I can put them in… Will they become 'harder' over time? Should I give them a few more hours? If they keep doing this can I bring them back?

Struggling to wear contact lenses?

Well, I just start trying to wear my contact lenses for the first time, but so far I'm failing miserably. First off, my eyes are smaller than the average person since I'm Asian which makes wearing them very difficult for me.To add insult to the injury, every time I tried to put them in, they either:

1. Cling to my finger like glue
2. Touch my eyelashes which triggers an involuntary blinking reflex
3. Deform in shape
4. Stick to my eye, which triggers an excruciating burning sensation, then fall right off.

I have tried this for around 120 minutes straight and failed at all but one attempt. I'm seriously frustrated and considering of giving up.

Also, I've tried all techniques available on the internet but so far all have failed. Right now my eyes are tearing up like crazy and is starting to redden for some reason. Also, veins are starting to become visible around my eye and I feel a mild consistent throbbing pain from the extreme irritation of trying to wear it probably 300 - 350 times.

Maybe contact lenses just isn't for me or maybe I just suck too much.

Any opinions or tips before I give up?
Added (1). Update: Never gonna wear them ever again in my life. Getting them out was 100000 times more difficult and did I mentioned scratching my left eye and sensing impending doom when I thought I will never be able to get them out? Wasted almost 4 hours. Contact lens suck.

I also think I might suffer from chronic eye pain starting from today.

Eye injuries from boxing?

Is it possible to get punched in the eye so hard in a boxing match that your eyes can get damaged and become blind? I want to learn boxing and learn how to fight but I have bad vision. I wear -6.00 contact lenses and I'm wondering how I can solve this issue when i have to spar for practice

Willl contact lenses go to the middle of your eye when you blink?

I went to the eye doctor a couple of days ago, and when I tried to put in contacts, I couldn't. I would flinch and blink every time I touch my eye. I'm going again in a couple of days, and I think I've found a new technique. I touched the bottom of my iris instead of the middle. I know that the contact won't go in the middle right then, but I've been told if you slowly blink, that the contact will go to the middle of your eye. Will that really work?
