Why are yearly lenses not available any more?
Why can't they design a lens, however expensive, that can be used indefinitely?
At present, using contact lenses require "planning ahead". You need to renew the prescription, purchase a bunch of lenses in advance (or else you run the risk of not having a resh pair on the planned replacement date), you have to remember dates, and there is a general tendency to "Abuse" the lenses by not replacing them on time. All this could be solved if they designed a lens that you purchase once, and keep using until your prescription changes or the lens gets damaged- sort of like prescription glasses, you don't need to discard glasses on a planned schedule. Given that your prescription is stable, you can keep using the same glasses all your life
