Does Base Curve and Diameter really matter when buying Contacts?

Hi, right now I wear Acuvue Oasys Contacts comfortably with a base curve of 8.4 and a diameter of 14.0 but I am looking to switch to some other contacts, the only problem is the base curve and diameter of the other contacts is slightly different. Would I be able to wear contacts with a base curve of 8.7 and a diameter of 14.4 or would that cause a lot of discomfort for my eyes? Thanks

CAN CONTACT LENSES CAUSE BLURRED VISION?

My 17 year old son has just been told he needs to wear glasses. He is mildly short sighted, with a prescription of -1.25/-1.5. He has decided to opt for contact lenses, and tried some daily disposables today at a well known high street optician. He found that the contacts were great for distance vision, but his near vision was blurred. The contact lens fitter dismissed this as being due to weak eye muscles and said that it will go away, but I'm not convinced. I think it could be due to poorly fitting lenses, and wold like to try another type of daily disposable. Any ideas why his close up vision was blurred - and what's the best type of daily disposable lens?

Which contact? Acuvue Oasys or Air Optix Night and Day?

I'm having trouble deciding which lenses I want to re order. I know everyone says Acuvue Oasys are really good, but after a while having them in just feels like I have an eyelash or something poking my eye and it's uncomfortable.So I just wear my glasses. I've read reviews that the new brand of Night and Days are kind of bad, but then some say they feel like heaven. I like the concept of being able to wear them for 30 days, and wake up being able to see. Please I need opinions on users!
Added (1). No. I have a valid prescription for both brand. I am just wondering which brand people have had better experience with.

Why is one prescription glasses lens blurrier than the other?

For my case, my right eye is less clear. I went to the doctor's and she made the right lens stronger a little, but I found that it didn't help. She told me that one eye will always be dominant over the other eye, so it doesn't matter if you change the prescription; one lens will always appear to be a blurrier.Is this true?

How to find out what brand carries my contact lens prescription?

I recently went to my eye doctor and I wanted a different brand of contacts because my eyes get really dry. She then pulled out a big book and started flipping through it looking at different brands to see options (I have a low prescription that not all brands carry). I just want to know if there is a way for me to see if a specific brand carries it so I could research and ask my doctor. I just switched from Biofinity (I've been told they break down fast and they do!) to dailies Acuvue "Moist" (however, I don't find it very "moist" when I couldn't even keep them in for an hour today they dried out!).So is there anyway to search brands for the scripts they make? If you have a suggestion for a brand for dry eyes it's definitely welcome! I do have one eye with an astigmatism and I have to wear a toric lens. This lessens my options even more I'm aware… any help? Thanks! :)

Colored eye contact lense dilemma?

I want to buy some colored eye contact lenses from pinkyparadise.com, which I've heard good things about, and I've finally found the perfect lenses that I want. However, the diameter on them are 14.5mm with an 8.6mm basic curve and my normal lenses are 14mm diameter with an 8.7mm basic curve.

Will that change anything? Will they still fit or should I get them anyways?

Why did he start avoiding me?

This boy in my class and I were very good friends the previous school year and now he started avoiding me. I even heard from people that he liked me but he never showed any signs. I used to wear glasses and had short hair but in the summer holiday I got contact lenses and got extensions so my hair is super long now and my appearance has change a lot from last year.At the first day of school when I saw him I was like whats up, hows it going, my usual old self and he just looked at me and with a low voice said hes been fine and thats it. And before we did our handshake and talked for hours and now he avoided me. I felt peetty sad since hes the person that prevents my school days from being miserable.why is he acting like that :/

Which mask should I choose?

I'm going as a plague doctor and idk which mask should i wear.a normal black bird like mask with black lens or the white mask withe the beak that bends down, red lens, black circles that looks like glasses and is around the red lens and i can't give you the link cause idk how to copy and paste on my ps3.
