What's it like to have contact lenses?

I've had glasses since I was 11 and now I'm 19 and I want contacts really bad, since I can't get lasik surgery yet. Plus I want to wear sunglasses and I can't do that with regular eyeglasses. Can someone tell me what having contacts is like? Like as far as putting them in and cleaning them and such. Also, how many do you usually get in a box? Or do you have to reuse them after you've cleaned them? Thanks.

Colored contact lens for dark brown eyes?

I want contacts because i wear glasses ocassionally and im thinking about colored ones just to switch it up a bit.i have dark brown eyes and i dont want to change them completely, i just want a subtle change.like something you might not even noticed unless you really looked.maybe just a hint of dark green on the edges of a little bit of a hazel in there, ya know just something nice and not in your face.

so anyone know any brand of contacts that can do that? and where to get them? and if you can suggest with personal experience thatd be greeeeeeeat

What is wrong with my contact lens?

I got contact lenses two days ago and they were working fine until today. They used to be really clear but now they don't let me see clearly and they get blurry. This is my first time having contact lenses.Is this normal because I've never had contact lenses and this is only my second day using them? I only wore them for 6 hours yesterday and then I switched to glasses the rest of the day. Are my eyes just getting used to the contact lenses?

How much can vision improve without any kind of surgery/exercise?

All,

A few months ago, I started eye exercises to improve my vision. I decided that I had done enough research and believed in improving one's eyesight by doing certain exercises and relaxation techniques.

Last week, I went to the optician to gets my eyes checked. Lo and behold, from a RE3.50 LE 5.00 power, my eyesight improved to RE3.00 LE4.25. I confessed to my optician about the exercises - knowing that most in the industry do not believe in it. She did not show any positive emotions - which disappointted me. She simply said it could be that I was haivng a great day, slept early the night before, etc. And, she said the last time I had my eyes checked, which gave me 350 and 500, I was probably having a bad day - studying very hard, sleeping late, squinting before getting checked
In other words, my optician was skeptical. Now, my question to you all is this: how much can the power of the eyes deviate in a day or a period of a few days? My LE decreased by 75 degrees.Is it possible that vision can deviate so much just because a person sleeps early, goes to the beach all day long and then gets his eyes checked? I want to know if the eye exercises have been helping or is it really just relaxation that tricked me?

To add on: When I was prescribed 350 and 500, somehow, my glasses had 300 and 375 lenses.So, please do not think I am lying about the figures.

Is laser operation of eye safe?

I have -5 on right eye and -10 on left eye and in both the eyes i have cylindrical power of -1.50 and -1.75 respectively. I am not comfortable in c.lens. And my spects looks very thick so i feel shy. Has any1 done the laser operation?

Why my eyes don't dilate easily?

Going to my eye's doctor is a nightmare. They have to put different types of drop 2 to 4 times (in between brakes) for my eyes to dilate. I have progressive myopia and some kind of lens displacement on my left eye. Does my eyes problem affect how fast they dilate?

How to up in coloured contact lenses?

I have never tried, contacts before I'm thinking to try green fresh look contacts I'm scared they will look strange & how do you put them in and take them out
